WACO, TEXAS: On May 6, 2023 the Dr Pepper Museum celebrated our 32nd birthday by giving away a year’s supply of Dr Pepper to TWO lucky visitors! Elizabeth Salas of McGregor and Terri Taylor of Georgetown were the winners when their names were drawn at 2:30 PM in front of a large crowd in the Museum’s Courtyard. Both Elizabeth and Terri were joined by their families, and Terri was celebrating her birthday as well! We plan to visit them in June to deliver their Dr Pepper.

In celebration of the Museum’s actual birthday on May 11th, we gave away a THIRD year’s supply of Dr Pepper to Elizabeth Marley Hollingsworth of Roswell, New Mexico! Elizabeth shared that she is a Dr Pepper fanatic and that with four small kids, she will put her year’s supply to good use helping her keep up with them.

We want to say thank you to Keurig Dr Pepper Distribution in Waco for the generous donation of over 90 cases of cans which made it possible for us to give each winner a year’s supply of Dr Pepper, or the equivalent to one can per day for a year.

May 6th Birthday Celebration Details

Admission to the Museum was $2 all day as a throwback to the original admission price when the Museum opened in 1991 and we welcomed over 1300 people. The in-person winners of the year’s supply of Dr Pepper were announced at 2:30 PM on the loading dock in the Courtyard of the Museum. Visitors could also enter to win five different raffles for baskets of items from the Museum’s Gift Shop and Museum experiences including the Paranormal Tour and the Extreme Pepper Experience.

May 11th Birthday Celebration Details

May 11th was the Museum’s actual birthday! We celebrated by choosing a year’s supply of Dr Pepper winner from over 9,000 entries submitted since May of last year. We called Elizabeth Marley Hollingsworth at 4:30 PM on Thursday, May 11th to let her know she was the lucky winner! We plan to visit Roswell in July to deliver her Dr Pepper.

Past Winners

We gave away our first year’s supply of Dr Pepper in 2019 in celebration of our 2 millionth visitor to the Museum! Kathryn Robles of Fort Hood, Texas was the 2 millionth visitor to the Museum since it opened in 1991. In 2020 we moved our celebration online because of the COVID-19 pandemic and we gave away a year’s supply of Dr Pepper to Kayla Vinyard, a nurse from Corsicana, Texas. 2021 was the first time we gave away TWO year supplies of Dr Pepper! Our winners were Lauren Bullard of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Pat Boswell of Whitney, Texas. We continued the tradition of giving away two year supplies of Dr Pepper in 2022 to Jordan Nelson of San Antonio, Texas, and Mandy Carrero of Little Rock, Arkansas.
