Field Trips

Spring 2026 now booking!

Come learn about Dr Pepper and the soft drink industry!

Field Trips are designed for groups of 20+ Pre-K through 12th Grade students. For adult tours, please visit our Group Tours page.

Field Trips must be booked at least 7 days in advance and are only available Monday through Friday. If your group does not meet these requirements, please visit our Group Rates page.

Please read through the following information and the Field Trip Guide. Use the form at the bottom of the page to submit your field trip request. If you do not receive a copy of your request via email, your request did not submit properly. Please direct all questions to tours@drpeppermuseum.com.

Field Trip Guide

Field Trip Options

A one hour tour of the museum focused on one of the following topics:

  • The Home of Dr Pepper
    • A comprehensive look into the history of Dr Pepper and the growth of the soft drink industry.
    • One can of Dr Pepper per person.
    • 3rd grade and up
  • Little Peppers
    • Our ‘The Home of Dr Pepper’ Field Trip, but for younger audiences!
    • One can of Dr Pepper per person.
    • Pre-K to 2nd grade.

Add-Ons:

  • Make-A-Soda Program
    • A one hour program where each participant will make and take home their own original bottle of soda.
    • Max 50 students per session.
    • 3rd grade and up.
  • KDP Liquid Lab
    • A fun 20-minute science presentation!
    • Current topic: FIZZics
      • A look into the science behind the fizz!
    • Great for all ages!
  • Goody Bag
    • Includes one Dr Pepper pencil, one Dr Pepper Museum sticker, and one 1 oz bag of Dr Pepper Jelly Bellies.
  • D-I-Y Dr Pepper Float
    • A scoop of Vanilla Blue Bell ice cream and a can of Dr Pepper to make into your own Dr Pepper Float.

Chaperones

  • Educators, parents, and other adults supervising students are considered chaperones.
  • Required chaperone to student ratio: 1 chaperone to 10 students.
  • Adults included in the required chaperone ratio receive free admission. Additional chaperones may receive the discounted field trip rate of $10 per person if pre-reserved by the Lead Educator. Chaperones that are not pre-reserved must purchase general admission at the full $12 per person rate upon their arrival for the field trip. Admissions is cashless.

Parking

  • Bus parking for field trips and tours is available on a first-come first-serve basis. The museum has two reserved bus parking spots along 5th Street.
  • Once these two spots are full, additional free bus parking can be found at Heritage Square (311 Austin Ave, Waco, TX 76701).

Accommodations

  • The Dr Pepper Museum offers many accommodations for field trips and tours, including, but not limited to, ramp and elevator access, sensory backpacks, noise indication stickers, and alternative soda-making syrups for food allergies/dietary restrictions.
  • There is no minimum required to book a field trip for a group with special needs.
  • Please inform the Education Team during the booking process of any accommodation your group requires.

Field trips are available Monday through Friday. Please note that while we will do our best to accommodate your requested visit dates, we cannot guarantee that we will have spots available. A member of our Education Team will reach out if your requested dates are not available.

Agreements

Required Chaperone Agreement(Required)
Field trip groups must have an overall ratio of one chaperone per 10 students. Chaperones must stay with students of all ages at all times.
Chaperone Policy Agreement(Required)
The Lead Educator assumes responsibility for sharing museum policies with chaperones and is responsible for any and all chaperone behavior.
Payment Agreement(Required)
No payment is due at this time. A 10% deposit will be required to confirm your group’s field trip. Payment will be due in full at the time of your field trip with cash, check, credit, or debit card. Purchase orders are not accepted.

This form does not guarantee my group’s reservation. Reservations are not complete until they are confirmed by both the requesting party and the museum AND the 10% deposit is paid.
