Homeschool Day
The Dr Pepper Museum is hosting its inaugural Homeschool Day!
Tuesday, September 30
10 AM – 3 PM
Homeschoolers and their families are invited to the Museum for a special day dedicated all to them! Families attending Homeschool Day will receive discounted field trip admission pricing and have an opportunity to join exclusive field trip-only programs!
Each admission ticket includes access to the Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company (AMBC) and Kellum-Rotan (KR) Buildings for a self-guided tour through the Museum and a $1 off coupon for the soda fountain.
This event is freestyle: you choose what to do! Want to add additional programs to enhance your visit? Go for it! Want to have a chill day and explore the Museum with your family? You can do that too!
Additional Offerings:
- Make-A-Soda Program:
- 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- A one hour program where each participant will make and take home their own original bottle of soda.
- Sign up is first-come-first-serve upon arrival. Maximum 40 participants per session.
- Recommended 2nd grade and up.
- Keurig Dr Pepper Liquid Lab:
- 12:15 PM in the Courtyard.
- 1:45 PM in the KDP Liquid Lab.
- A fun 20-minute science presentation!
- Great for all ages!
- Goody Bag:
- Includes one Dr Pepper pencil, one Dr Pepper Museum sticker, and one 1 oz bag of Dr Pepper Jelly Bellies.
- Available for purchase at the Homeschool Admission Desk.

**Adults are not required to participate in the Make-A-Soda Program if a child in their group is participating, but they are more than welcome to purchase a ticket for themselves. Please note that non-paying adults may be asked to stand during the program to allow seats for those who are participating.

Do I have to register my group in advance?
Advanced registration is not required!
How do I pay for the visit?
Admission and add-ons will be purchased upon your arrival at the Museum.
Accepted payment methods are cash, credit, and debit cards.
How many students can I bring?
We welcome families of all sizes! There is not a limit on the number of students or adults that are eligible for Homeschool Day activities.
Groups of more than 20 people that would like to attend Homeschool Day should email the Education Team at tours@drpeppermuseum.com to give advance notice of their arrival.
When should I arrive?
The Museum is open to the public from 10 AM to 5:30 PM.
Homeschool Day admission sales will start at 10 AM and stop at 3 PM. After 3 PM, groups will need to purchase general admission to access the Museum.
If you sign up for a Make-A-Soda Program, please arrive at the Classroom 10 minutes before the start of your program.
Where do I check in?
At the Homeschool Day Table located in the admissions lobby of the AMBC Building.
Where do we park?
Cars may park in the paid Museum parking lot off of 5th Street for $10.50 per car per 5 hours or find free street parking surrounding the museum.
Cars should not park in the lots of surrounding businesses as they will be subject to their respective fees and towing policies.
The Museum does not have bus or large vehicle parking available for guests.
What about student behavior?
We ask that students maintain classroom behavior while visiting the museum for their safety and the safety of other guests. Chaperones MUST stay with students of all ages at all times.
Does the Museum have a space where we can eat lunch?
There are two sets of 6ft picnic tables inside the Courtyard, a set of 4 (uncovered) and a set of 8 (covered). These spaces are open to the public, so they are not reservable for individual groups. Groups are more than welcome to eat lunch onsite, but they are not guaranteed space.
Picnic lunches and coolers are allowed in the Courtyard. The Museum does not store coolers for groups.
