As a nonprofit organization, the Dr Pepper Museum relies on the leadership and support of its board of directors. This year, the Museum is pleased to welcome three outstanding individuals who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing, finance, and a strong understanding of the Waco community. We invite you to learn more about our three newest board members: Morgan Branum, Brad Rakes, and Jason Young.
Morgan Branum
(MHRM, MHRD)
Human Resources Business Partner, Refresco

With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, Morgan brings a strong foundation in strategic planning, team development, and operational execution. Her background spans everything from store openings to large-scale events, giving her a unique ability to manage logistics, foster collaboration, and drive engagement. She is skilled at building inclusive cultures, navigating complex challenges, and aligning people strategies with organizational goals.
Morgan previously served as Guest Experience Manager at Walt Disney World and Director of Organizational Development at FreeFlight Systems. She might be the biggest Dr Pepper fan in Waco – she still remembers visiting the Museum in 7th grade, an experience that left such a lasting impression that she now makes sure her husband and children get to enjoy it as well.
Brad Rakes
Vice President, Brand Mareting, Keurig Dr Pepper
As head of marketing for the Dr Pepper brand, Brad brings deep, hands-on knowledge of the brand’s strategies, plans, and marketing resources. He is uniquely positioned to strengthen the connection between the Dr Pepper Museum and the Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) team by facilitating meaningful knowledge sharing, elevating awareness of the Museum’s mission within Frisco, and uncovering authentic synergies between the two organizations’ goals.
Brad is also a skilled storyteller. A significant part of his role is serving as the voice of the Dr Pepper brand within KDP and in customer-facing settings – selling the ideas that have helped make Dr Pepper America’s #1 flavored soft drink brand. Growing up in Southwest Virginia, one of the strongest Dr Pepper markets east of the Mississippi, the brand has been part of his life for as long as he can remember.

Jason Young
Supply Chain Manager, TYMCO, Inc.

The Young Manufacturing Company (TYMCO) was founded and incorporated in Waco in 1960 by B.W. Young, a self-educated road contractor. Today, TYMCO is a national, multimillion-dollar business that remains family-owned and actively managed day to day, competing successfully in a market traditionally dominated by corporate conglomerates.
Jason was recruited back to Waco by his family to serve as Supply Chain Manager. He currently serves on the Board of the Waco Chamber of Commerce and brings a wealth of finance and budgeting experience to the table. Growing up in Waco, Jason frequently visited the Dr Pepper Museum, and Dr Pepper continues to be a meaningful part of his family’s life.
The Dr Pepper Museum is grateful for their willingness to serve and support the Museum’s mission of educating, inspiring, and entertaining through the history of Dr Pepper and the soft drink industry.
