The Dr Pepper Museum had three-record breaking days in March 2026: March 17, March 20 and March 21. Friday, March 20, welcomed 2,496 guests, setting a new record for the highest single-day paid attendance in its history. This achievement surpasses the previous record set on March 15, 2025, and reflects the Museum’s continued growth and increasing popularity among visitors.
Since 2020, the Museum has experienced steady year-over-year increases in attendance, drawing more visitors from across the United States and around the world each year.
Spring Break travel had also contributed to the surge in visitation. While many Waco-area schools were out first week of March, districts across Texas and the country observe Spring Break over a three-week span. The Museum typically sees three full weeks of increased attendance throughout the entire month of March, and visitation remained strong into Easter weekend.
The record-setting day is part of an exceptionally busy season, with families, school groups, and tourists continuing to make the Dr Pepper Museum a must-visit destination in Waco. Increased visitation not only reflects the Museum’s growing national reach but also contributes to the local economy by bringing more guests to downtown Waco and surrounding businesses.
“We are thrilled to see so many guests choosing to spend their time with us,” said Chris Dyer, President & CEO. “It’s incredible to welcome visitors from all over the country and beyond, all coming to experience the history of Dr Pepper right here in Waco.”
As the Original Home of Dr Pepper, the Dr Pepper Museum continues to share the story of this iconic soft drink through engaging exhibits and interactive experiences for guests of all ages. Building from the strong experienced momentum at the start of the spring season, the Museum is now preparing for its 35th Birthday Bash being celebrated on Saturday, May 9. The celebration will feature the highly anticipated unveiling of its newest exhibit: the world’s largest Dr Pepper bottle.
