The long-awaited project to make improvements to 5th Street began last year, and the portion that impacts the section of 5th Street in front of the Museum began on Monday, February 8th. Only one lane of 5th Street will be accessible at a time during this work, depending on which side of the street they are focusing on. Our parking lot will still be accessible either via the entrance on 5th Street or Mary Street for the duration of this work. Street parking on 5th Street will not be accessible, but there is street parking on surrounding side streets. Handicap parking spots under the red neon Dr Pepper sign will continue to be accessible.
The Museum and Museum staff do not have control over the timeline, progress, or accessibility associated with 5th Street construction. For questions, please visit the City of Waco update page.
